Jeff has worked as the Shepherd’s Facilities Manager for 12 years. He is proud to be a part of an organization that helps people obtain access to not only healthcare, but other important resources as well. In his free time, Jeff enjoys spending time with his extended family and is a huge fan of the Baltimore Orioles.
Behavioral Health Director
Mona Kim, LCPC, NCC, Board-Approved Supervisor is the Behavioral Health Director at Shepherd’s Clinic. Mona’s professional counseling experience includes working with diverse populations across the state of Maryland providing trauma-informed care. Mona’s clinical approach to counseling is cognitive-behavioral, centered on evidence-based research, and also existential, focused on the human condition and the universal concepts that impact human existence. Mona has experience working in both the nonprofit and private sectors, as a mental health provider and clinical supervisor, supervising Masters level counseling and social work interns as well as new graduate professionals working to obtain full licensure. Mona is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University, Master of Science in Counseling program and has been in the counseling field for over a decade.
Nurse Coordinator
Kelly Arguero has a Bachelor’s Degree in Public and Community Health from University of Maryland, College Park, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Drexel University in Philadelphia. Her background includes direct nursing care at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center working as an emergency department RN. She currently spends some of her free time as an active volunteer crisis counselor with Crisis Text Line. Kelly joined Shepherd’s Clinic during the summer of 2020. She is eager to combine her nursing and policy backgrounds to deliver quality health care to underserved populations while learning from her patients. Kelly is excited to work with Shepherd’s Clinic to help community members who are most in need of compassionate health care.
Staff Nurse Practitioner
Sara Cawrse joined Shepherd’s Clinic in 2011 as a volunteer nurse. She became a staff nurse practitioner in 2012 and assistant to the medical director in 2014. Sara received her BSN and MSN from Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing where she also participated in the Peace Corps Coverdell Fellows Program. The Fellows Program allowed Sara to expand her experience in community health and reinforced her commitment to working with underserved communities. Sara believes in taking a holistic approach to healthcare and has a particular interest in empowering patients through health education.
