Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction
- Mindfulness is a way of learning to relate directly to whatever is happening in your life, a way of taking charge of your life, a way of doing something for yourself that no one else can do for you — consciously and systematically working with your own stress, pain, illness, and the challenges and demands of everyday life.
- Mindfulness-based stress reduction is intended to ignite this inner capacity and infuse your life with awareness.
Meditation
- Meditation is a mind-body practice, which encourages specific attention or “awareness” to various points of focus.
- We spend so much time in a state of angst, worrying, clinging to the past or planning for the future. If we are to bring light, wisdom and compassion into the world, releasing worrying and fear, we must begin with ourselves.
- Meditation practice allows you to listen deeply to your own inner voice, to build awareness and understanding of yourself, your relationship and the world around you.
