Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction

  • Mind­ful­ness is a way of learning to relate directly to whatever is happening in your life, a way of taking charge of your life, a way of doing something for yourself that no one else can do for you — cons­ciously and sys­te­ma­ti­cally working with your own stress, pain, illness, and the cha­llen­ges and demands of everyday life. 
  • Mindfulness-based stress reduction is intended to ignite this inner capacity and infuse your life with awareness.

Medi­ta­tion

  • Medi­ta­tion is a mind-body practice, which encou­ra­ges specific attention or “awareness” to various points of focus.
  • We spend so much time in a state of angst, worrying, clinging to the past or planning for the future. If we are to bring light, wisdom and com­pas­sion into the world, releasing worrying and fear, we must begin with ourselves.
  • Medi­ta­tion practice allows you to listen deeply to your own inner voice, to build awareness and unders­tan­ding of yourself, your rela­tionship and the world around you.
